Prayer Lock · Make space for salah
Let salah interrupt the scroll.
Prayer Lock is an optional salah app blocker inside Everyday Muslim. When a protected prayer begins, the apps you selected stay unavailable until you record that prayer as complete.

Prayer begins.
Distractions pause.
You make space.

Sometimes the reminder is not the hard part. It is putting down the app already in your hand. Prayer Lock adds a deliberate pause between a prayer beginning and returning to the distractions you chose to protect against.
Pick the apps and prayers you want to protect. The block is connected to your prayer routine: after you pray, record the pending prayer as completed to restore access. The app relies on your record; it does not verify whether you have performed salah.
Set up Prayer Lock on Android
Open Prayer Lock in Everyday Muslim, enable it and follow the Device access step. On Android, the optional Accessibility service detects the package name of the app currently open so it can recognize one you selected.
Choose apps, select protected prayers and review the lock time for each prayer. Return to Everyday Muslim after granting access to finish setup. Device support and settings vary by Android version and manufacturer.
Set up Prayer Lock on iPhone
Open Prayer Lock, enable it and follow the Device access step to authorize Apple's Screen Time integration. Choose the apps you want to shield, then review the protected prayers and lock times.
The iOS feature uses Screen Time APIs and opaque app-selection tokens on your device. Follow the current in-app authorization flow; if your device reports the feature as unsupported, other Everyday Muslim features remain available.
Understand access before enabling it
Prayer Lock is optional. You can turn it off in the app or revoke the relevant device permission. On Android, its Accessibility service does not read screen contents, messages, passwords or what you type.
The Prayer Lock app-opening information is processed on your device and is not stored as an app history or sent to our servers. This specific behavior is separate from the app's analytics, accounts and other services described in the privacy policy.
