01

Who makes Everyday Muslim

UMRATECH stands for Ummat Muhammad Rasool Allah Technologies. Tahir founded it on his own, without outside backers or investors, with the intention of building Islamic apps that are free to use, carry no advertising and respect the privacy of the people who use them.

UMRATECH and the Everyday Muslim app are owned by Tahir rather than by a larger corporation. The project is supported by its users and by sponsors, who are listed on the homepage.

Why the app is free and ad-free

The app was started as an alternative for Muslims who were uncomfortable with how worship apps handled personal data and with advertising shown inside them. Everyday Muslim does not show ads, and its core prayer, Quran and Qibla tools are free.

Some features use online services, such as optional backups and sharing with Khair Partners. The privacy policy describes what is collected, why, and the choices you have.

How we handle religious content

The app and this website help Muslims organize everyday worship; they do not issue religious rulings. Quran and hadith references name their source, and English renderings are translations of meaning. Calculation methods for prayer times and Hijri dates are presented as settings to match your trusted local practice.

For questions about your own circumstances, please speak with a qualified teacher or your local mosque.

Our journal and editorial standards

The Everyday Muslim journal publishes practical articles about routines and the technology behind them. Articles are written under the byline of Tnas, link to their sources, and follow a published editorial policy that explains how we use AI assistance, check sources and correct mistakes.
